we followed the electric third rail to a clearing in the woods and a cross buried along the highway where we sang from a hymnal and drank our caffeine, while on buffering video, i watched men with machetes and the glow of night vision made me forget there’s no lightsource. our eyes were fixed on the radial spectrum, on the tortured and manicured, on disinterest and diamonds, on the brothers and sisters, on mass times acceleration, on the sky as it glowed like lcd. turn away, such a shame, what’s so wrong with escape? you lie in wait for whatever’s on today. and i can’t wait till the story breaks.
